Tested from both sides; OPEN IN & OPEN OUT; in accordance to SANS 1253:2016 ED3.1, SANS 10400 PART T & SANS 10177-2 our FIREFIGHTER™ CLASS E exceeds all requirements.
Tested with a complete set of ironmongery – concealed door closer, door viewer (peephole), access control locks by Dormakaba, Vingcard and Salto, concealed fire & acoustic drop-seal, intumescent seals and frame rebate acoustic perimeter seals.
The most robust and compliant door in the industry that is designed as a tenancy separating element to contain the spread of fire in a dwelling as per SANS 10400-T, where-in it is stated the fire door must be tested from its weakest side, that being the side opening in toward the fire.

We specialise in custom size door sets with frames made in timber, get in touch to find out more.
Our standard DOUBLE frames have an OD (overall dimension) 1680×2070 (door 1612×2032) available in 55 x 115 (single brick) & 55 x 230 (double brick) sizes.Standard section sizes are 44×115 and 44×230, however we manufacture to whichever size you require.
When ordering your door set three options are to be considered.

Our standard SINGLE frames have an OD (overall dimension) 880×2070 (door 813×2032) available in 55 x 115 (single brick) & 55 x 230 (double brick) sizes.
Our standard DOUBLE frames have an OD (overall dimension) 1680×2070 (door 1612×2032) available in 55 x 115 (single brick) & 55 x 230 (double brick) sizes.

We specialise in custom size door ASSEMBLIES with the frames made in hardwood and doors finished in veneer.
Doors are pre-hung with 3 hinges and all cut-outs for locks, handles, drop-seals and any other ironmongery are done in house.
– 44mm section by your wall thickness
– any timber can be used provided the density is => 750g/m2
– we use mostly White Ash or White Oak imported from America and FSH compliant
– 1,6mm Mild Steel in 55mm section
– Our frames powder coated in grey primer for durability.
– Easily painted with your topcoat onsite.
– Suits water or solvent based paints.
– 1,6mm Pre-Galvanized Mild Steel in 55mm section
– Our frames supplied in Pre-Galv mild steel with no primer.
– Easily primed & painted onsite.

– After manufacture we send your frame out to be fully galvanized.
– Best suited for extreme coastal outdoor environments.
– No powder coating or primer by us.
– 2mm 304 grade stainless steel in 55mm section
– Used mostly in health care environment.
– Not to be painted over.
When installing we offer your fitter a unique installation system designed by us for use in dry wall systems and brick work. All fixing points are concealed giving you a quality finish to your frames with no need to plug.

Standard doors come in flush panel MDF or HDF faces with two hardwood edges known as 2CE or two concealed edges.
You can select whichever veneer or high pressure laminate to give that “look & feel” you need. The door edges are concealed with solid wood lipping’s to match the veneer or formica you select.

TAGGING
All frames and doors are tagged as required with our company details, class of door, date of manufacture and unique serial number which we record on our database in order to provide full traceabilty and tracking of each fire door assembly.
Single doors have 2 tags, 1 on the frame and 1 on the door.
Double doors have 3 tags, 1 on the frame and 2 on the doors, each leaf is tagged.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT (QMS)
Our QMS is based on ISO 9001 so rest assured that what we test; is what you get. We keep track of all raw materials purchased, detailed records are kept for every door that is produced by us and we can back track the last 10 years to any door we have made and thus ensure our manufacturing integrity.
